Trichomoniasis is known as one of the common STDs. The disease is caused by microscopic parasite Trichomonas vaginalis, which known as protozoan. The infection usually appears in vagina and urethral tissues. Then, the most common cases which happen are in women. Men can be infected by this parasite but mostly the symptom does not appear.

Symptoms of Trichomoniasis appear with several kinds which can be seen and felt. The symptoms can be seen after the disease exposures. Women who infected by the disease will have vaginal discharge and its color is yellow-green or grey-green. The discharge will be smelly and frothy or foamy. Then, the sufferers will feel itchy in vaginal area. During intercourse and urination, they will feel pain.

In men, the symptoms of Trichomoniasis mostly do not appear. But, they can have abnormal discharge from urethra. Then, it will feel pain while urinating. Besides that, they also will get pain of swelling in the scrotum area.

From those symptoms, they may be the same with other STD. Their appearance in the body will be the sign for women to take medical checkup to know what disease is infected. It is important to prevent the disease growing worse. It is because the disease can be the trigger of HIV. The disease can be diagnosed easily, then, the sufferers will get proper treatment for healing. Besides the trigger of the other disease, it is also can be transmitted to other people.

Men can have Trichomoniasis when their women have been infected. The disease can be prevented from spreading by taking treatment at the same time when the women find that they are infected. Then, the couple can handle the disease not to spread more or infect more to the body.
